Can anyone use the Fresno State Library? ›

As a publicly funded institution, our Library and most of its collections are available for use by the general public.

The Fresno State Library summer hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. It is closed on the weekends. The Kennel Bookstore summer hours will be 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.

Find and request books and media from all 23 CSU libraries.

Food and drink are prohibited in group study rooms and individual study rooms. Food and drink are prohibited on any floor except for the 2nd floor (North and South) Food-friendly areas = 2nd floor, both North and South open study areas.

Individuals who are not staff or students at the University may apply for external borrower membership (University Library website).

Home to three presidential libraries, the most of any state, Texas plays a key role in preserving U.S. history through the Lyndon B. Johnson Presidential Library and Museum in Austin, the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum in College Station and the George W. Bush Presidential Center in Dallas.

1) Library of Congress

The Library of Congress is one of the largest libraries in the world and the largest public library in the United States. It is the US's national library with 34, 528,818 volumes. It was founded in 1800 and encompasses three buildings on Capitol Hill and the Packard campus in Virginia.

1911. Fresno State Normal School is founded and the library is established.

It is fine to have hot or cold drinks in the library and cold food like sandwiches. We ask that you don't eat hot or smelly food in the library because this is likely to disturb others. We recommend that you take a break away from the library if you need a hot meal so that you can return to your studies refreshed.

Can we eat in the CSUN library? ›

Food and non-alcoholic beverages in secure lidded containers are permitted in the library, except for the Special Collections & Archives Reading Room (2nd floor) and the Library Exhibit Gallery and Gohstand Reading Room (2nd floor, east wing).

Feel free to eat and drink in the library. Please throw away your garbage, and contact us if you spill anything so we can help you get it cleaned up quickly.

Arizona residents, 18 years of age or older and not affiliated with ASU, may become registered borrowers with the ASU Library for a fee. Proof of residency and age is required. Card fees are non-refundable. See eligibility criteria and associated charges.

The Sir Alex Ferguson Library is open to members of the public and anyone can use our space freely.

Visitors, alumni, and community members are welcome in the University Libraries. Everyone is free to enter the libraries and browse our collections during regular hours.

All members of the community are welcome to visit the Geisel Library and WongAvery Library to use onsite collections during our service hours. Access to group study rooms, login workstations, and overnight study is restricted to current UC San Diego students, faculty, and staff.
